Happy Holidays

I can't believe the end of the year is almost here. Christmas is fast approaching. This year Ben is not trying to pull down the Christmas tree. Yay! We didn't need to put a fence around it. Emily only has 7 more days of school left and then she is off for 3 weeks. Lucky her.

Birthday Party

On October 13th, we celebrated Ben and Emily's birthday at Pump It Up. A place that has giant inflatable slides. Everyone seemed to have a great time, even the parents. All the kids look worn out when it was over.

Potty Training

Ben turned 2 on October 4th. Ms. Judy at his daycare said that it was time to potty train him and that I should bring in underwear this week. I asked her if she meant pullups but she said that I should bring in underwear, 5 pairs. Ok, good luck I thought. Emily wasn't potty trained until she was over 3 so I wasn't in a rush with Ben. Well, today was his first day of potty training and he wet two pairs or underwear and pooped in one pair but he peed in the potty after his nap. Yay! Not bad for the first day.

Emily went down the water slide!

After completing two weeks at Ms. Carolyn's Bubbles and Roll Emily now loves the water. We went to the YMCA yesterday and Emily went down the water slide! That is a huge accomplishment considering before her swimming classes she would not get her head wet. Now we need to work on her strokes. She is signed up for winter swim classes with Ms. Carolyn. Hopefully by next summer she will be swimming.

Bubbles and Roll

Emily and Ben have been taking swimming lessons at Ms. Carolyn's Bubbles and Roll. Emily, who hates to get her face wet, has been 'swimming' with her face in the water and picked up a ring off the bottom of the pool! Ben has been swimming under water too but he doesn't like to float on his back. Both go off the diving board at the end of the lesson. Emily has to be pushed in and Ben is thrown in. If you don't know about Ms. Carolyn, she is referred to around here as the 'Swim Nazi' because of her strict discipline. It is exactly what we needed for Emily.

Florida 2007

We are so sad that our vacation is now over but we are glad to be back home. Click here to view our photo album.

Vacation at last!

We are half way through our Florida vacation in St. George Island. The weather is perfect. Ben gave us a scare on our first night. He fell in the pool and Mama had to jump in and save him. That scared him and he has not tried to get in the pool by himself. Emily has enjoyed her time with the Purdy girls. She slept in a top bunk bed for the first time.

Summer Time is Here - almost

We spent Travis' birthday at his mother's. Ben got hold of an cherry flavored italian ice, which stained him red. Travis decided it was best to give him a bath outside with the hose even though the water was very cold. Ben didn't mind it at all.

Kindergarten graduation

Today Emily had her Kindergarten appreciation day. Her class sang 3 songs and received their diplomas. Hard to believe the school year is already over.

Easter with Grandmommy & Papa

On Easter we went to Granmommy and Papa's and had an Easter egg hunt. Ben was more interested in the horses and of course the chocolate.



Emily made out pretty good. She collected a lot of money!

Easter with the Hymers and Purdys

The week before Easter the Hymers and Purdys came over to celebrate with an Easter egg hunt. There is still one egg missing.

Georgia Aquarium

In February we drove down to Atlanta to see the world's largest aquarium. Ben and Emily loved the fish. Emily's favorite was the whale shark.
